I wonder if anyone at the band could help me. You have a photo of the band in 1902 on your website and the bandmaster in the middle with the baton is my husband Martin's (who some of you will know) Great Grandfather. I spoke to Martin's Dad (who is 87) today and showed him the picture, he was very excited as this is of course his Grandfather. He would really love any other information/photos the band has on this man, whose name was George Rice. If you can help me please email me at suzydawson@yahoo.co.uk. Thanks.

My compliments to the band for the excellent performance at yesterday’s Remembrance Day Service. The band played with true precision, excellent intonation and balance, confidence and musicality. Nimrod was superbly played and was very moving, and the finale of "When The Saints" was fantastic. Thank you all.

I would like to thank all the members of Corby Silver Band for all the support and kindness they have shown since my fathers illness and death.
He was a man that I will look up to all my life and I know that he enjoyed listening to the band as he often told me when I hit bum notes

Thank you Amanda for making this acknowledgement of Jed's sad passing. What a lovely picture to remember him by. I am sure he will be sorely missed by the many players of brass bands that he has supported over the years. I will certainly miss his merry quips and larger than life presence at Corby Silver band. A sad loss to us all indeed.

Great website the band seems too be an enjoyable one it seems most bands IN THE UK practice twice a week ..so how able come contest time how many do you have then ..we only practice once a week but when its closer too contest time we up it 3 times a week for the last month plus work shops

Well done Corby for arranging the joint concert last Saturday, Hope we raised plenty of money for Help for Heroes. An excellent concert and I enjoyed playing with the massed band!

Just visited the site and am very, very impressed. I'd like to say hi, hello and bonjour (it's slightly misleading, but, i left the band to live in France, but, kept my 'old' UK email address) to all my ex-band mates (and new ones, too)at CSB. I'm going grey, but, after seeing some of the photos of older/senior members i don't feel so bad!!! Great result from the last contest - Well Done. I have saved a few of the photos on your site as a reminder of the few wonderful years i had with you on Bass. I am really sorry to hear about Robert who i will always remember for his smile and happy face.

Just joined a local band on Bass (which happens to be older than me!!), L'Harmonie Nancéienne, but, i will always remember my time with Beanfield school brass band and the Corby Silver band. Vive le Brass!!!
